I am a native of Harrison County and a 1989 graduate of Harrison County High School. I received my Associate in Arts degree from Maysville Community & Technical College - Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana and my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Midway College taking all of my classes at the local Licking Valley Campus. I was a local small business owner of the Kevin Gaunce Insurance Agency from 1996-2004.
Currently, I have been employed by Whalen and Company since 2003. My wife, Lori, has also been a lifelong Harrison County community member. She is a graduate of the 1987 class of Harrison County High School and is the Campus Director of the Licking Valley Campus of Maysville Community & Technical College. We have two daughters Kelby and Jenna. I am serving as an ambassador of the Cynthiana-Harrison County Chamber of Commerce. In addition, since 1995, I have given back to the community as a volunteer youth coach of baseball, basketball, and most recently soccer. I have spent the last six years as head coach of girls soccer for Harrison County High School and Middle School teams.
